Services We Offer

General Livestock Care

Vaccination:
Common vaccines we provide include: Bangs's disease(or brucellosis) and respiratory, reproductive, and clostridial vaccinations

Castration:
Castration of livestock is a commonly performed husbandry procedure. We provide this service for animals of any age. There are a variety of methods available and we tailor the analgesia as appropriate to meet your needs and concerns.

Dehorning:
Dehorning is performed to protect other herd members as well as livestock handlers.  Dehorning also may be necessary if horns become broken or have the potential to cause injury or infection to the animal itself. We have a variety of methods available to dehorn animals and use a variety of analgesia techniques to meet your needs and concerns for your animals.

Male Breeding Soundness Examination:
We provide evaluation of intact male animals prior to breeding to assess reproductive health and potential performance, as well as to test for diseases such as trichomoniasis, penile warts, and brucellosis.

Female Breeding Soundness Examination:
Our female breeding soundness exams include reproductive tract evaluation, pregnancy detection, and assessing reproductive problems.  We can consult with a theriogenologist as needed and perform manual, ultrasound, and endoscopic examinations.

Pulmonary Arterial Pressure Testing (PAP, High Mountain Disease):
Heart stress and failure can occur among livestock being raised at high elevations (especially above 5,000 feet, as occurs in the Rocky Mountain region).  We can perform PAP tests which measure the blood pressure as the blood leaves the heart to see if your livestock are at risk.

Foot Trimmings & Lameness Evaluations:
We have a tilting chute which permits cattle up to approximately 2,500 pounds to be safely restrained for foot trimmings, lameness examinations, and radiographs.

Health & Travel Certificates
When travelling with your livestock interstate or internationally, to shows, sales, or permanent or temporary relocation you may be required to get a certificate of veterinary inspection, to prove that your animal is free of communicable and infectious diseases.  We can perform the necessary testing as required by the state or show.
