Animal Heart Center
Our Animal Heart Center provides cardiology care to dogs, cats, horses, and other animals with heart, vascular, and lung disease.
We are devoted to the care of animals with heart disease and the discovery of the causes and new treatments for heart disease in animals and humans.
Our state-of-the-art facilities for the medical and surgical care of animals with heart disease are staffed by veterinarians and professionals who are considered international leaders in the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease in animals.
We see patients by appointment and provide emergency consultation and 24/7 care for urgent cardiac patients in collaboration with our Emergency Care service.
How Can We Help You?
We provide several different types of cardiac services:
- Medical Cardiology: basic and advanced diagnostic procedures including electrocardiography, echocardiography (cardiac ultrasound), radiography, ambulatory ECG, and cardiac catheterization. Medical management of heart diseases, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias (electrical disturbances of the heart), hypertension, and chronic respiratory disease.
- Interventional Cardiology: correction of cardiac disorders by passage of catheters and/or instruments into the beating heart including patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) closure, balloon dilation of valve stenosis, and pacemaker implantation
- Cardiac Surgery: basic and advanced cardiac surgery to correct a variety of congenital and acquired heart diseases
