What if you can't get in to see your regular veterinarian or don't have one? What if you can't wait for an appointment because you don't want to risk your pet's condition getting worse and potentially more complex? Urgent Care can help expand your pet's healthcare options when your primary veterinarian is not available.
Our experienced and compassionate Urgent Care staff is ready to provide your pet with immediate care for minor illnesses or injuries. We listen to your concerns and provide the treatment you need efficiently, so that your pet can get on the road to recovery as quickly as possible.
This service also is a great opportunity for our veterinary students to experience the pace of private veterinary practice.
The following are examples of non-emergency, minor illnesses and injuries seen by Urgent Care:
A referral from your regular veterinarian is not necessary to use our Urgent Care service. Your regular veterinarian can, of course, send you to us, and we can communicate with him or her about the care of your pet.
Our Urgent Care service is designed to meet the immediate needs of your pet. If necessary, our Urgent Care veterinarians will collaborate with specialists from other services within the hospital to ensure that your pet gets the most appropriate care possible. If indicated, they will help schedule a future consultation or follow-up appointment with a specialist.
