Our experienced emergency team is equipped to handle any emergency and is always here to provide rapid assessment, stabilization, treatment, and care you can trust - when you need it the most.
Our Emergency Care service offers several advantages:
- The collective expertise and experience of a team of veterinarians and technicians board certified in veterinary emergency and critical care are available 24/7 to treat and monitor your pet.
- We are equipped to handle any veterinary emergency whether it requires oxygen supplementation, surgery, transfusion, ventilation, or resuscitation.
- We have access to specialists in nearly every area of veterinary medicine. If a specialty problem arises, there is an expert nearby who can give insight into the care of your pet.
- Our Argus Institute is available to support the emotional needs of pet owners who are facing challenges surrounding their pet's healthcare.
When Does My Pet Need Emergency Care?
Although there are many emergency situations, the following are common conditions requiring emergency veterinary care:
- Trauma
- Labored or difficult breathing
- Collapse or loss of conciousness
- Seizures
- Sudden change in mental status or activity
- Toxin ingestion
- Severe or persistent vomiting
- Open fractures
- Rattlesnake bite
