Information for Veterinarians

How Do I Contact The Livestock Medicine & Surgery Veterinarians?

Please call for questions or to arrange a referral for your client and patient at (970) 297-5000.  We are happy to provide expertise over the phone when possible in addition to serving your client in-house.

To expedite service with the CSU VTH, please provide your client with any relevant medical history (X-rays, test results, vaccine history, etc.) to bring with them to their appointment to insure we have the comprehensive background information needed to make treatment decisions.

How Will I Be Informed About My Client’s Service?

You will receive an official medical summary about your patient’s service and treatment decisions with us.

What Advanced Treatment Options Do You Offer?

  • General and specialty surgery:  Our surgery room can accommodate animals from small neonates to bulls over 2,000 pounds.
  • Tilting chute to restrain and examine cattle: This allows us to examine the feet, legs, and ventral surface of more active cows and bulls.
  • Diagnostic imaging: including CT, MRI, ultrasound, radiology, endoscopy, scintigraphy, and ultrasound guided biopsies.
  • Blood work and diagnostic tests
  • Acupuncture and manual therapy
  • 24-hour emergency care
  • Phone consultations
