If your pet is diagnosed with a condition affecting the central, peripheral, and/or autonomic nervous systems, including the brain, spinal cord, and network of nerves, we offer both medical and surgical options for the treatment of many common and rare neurological problems.

What is Neurology?
Our neurology service evaluates, diagnoses, and treats both small and large animal patients with a broad array of diseases that either primarily or secondarily affect the nervous system.
We have access to advanced imaging equipment and electrodiagnostic machines, including MRI and CT/PET scans, cerebrospinal fluid analysis, and electrophysiology. We also have the capabilities to perform peripheral nerve and muscle biopsy and neurosurgery on the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves.
How Do I Know My Pet Has A Neurological Condition?
Neurological conditions can manifest in many ways, however, the following are some common indications that your pet should have a neurological evaluation:
- Neck and back pain
- Seizures
- Balance problems
- Weakness
- Exercise-induced weakness
- Tremors
- Neurological causes of blindness
- Changes in mentation
- Muscle atrophy
- Abnormalities associated with prehending (grabbing) or swallowing
- Deafness
